Ladies,
This is the month that we become independent in our thinking and our actions. This is the season that we begin the process of changing our thinking and perception of what it means to be independent. We need to break away from relying on other's perception of us. Independence means self-governing, not requiring other things or people, and not easily influenced. For so many years, ladies we have depended on what other people thought about us, letting things define us, and giving all our power to someone else. Ladies, 2008 is a new beginning of INDEPENDENCE from all things that have enslaved our minds, or distorted our perception of who we really are in God.
I read this quote a few days ago and it stated, " Independence, no matter when it comes is filled with emotions. The place we leave behind is embedded with price-less fingerprints. Sometimes, through leaving a world dense with memories is necessary for the soul to continue to prosper". Sandra Lloyd
Ladies encourage other ladies today with your Independence stories................
When we were created, we were created fearfully and wonderfully. We were all created in different shapes, sizes, color and designs. No one better than the other, but each one with their own beauty. As we evolve into what society thought they we should look like; we begin to listen to others that tried to define us. We lost the beauty that we were created to possess and traded that beauty for someone else perception of who we were. Why do we listen to the opinions of others and not the creator? Who said that you were not worthy to be love; to be happy; to be successful; to be courageous, to be the beauty butterfly that you were created to be. I speak to the hearts and minds of all young and old women that have forgotten the beauty that lies within us all. Ladies become the beautiful butterflies that can spread their wings and fly above all obstacles and curcumstances.

This is so pretty, I just had the opportunity to glance but I like it, a lot. And your playlist is awesome, different than mine and Bishop. Tell me why I didn't think of Aretha Franklin and Patti Labelle. I love them. Anyway, I will blog on yours if you blog on mine.(LOL)

It is so hard to try not to rely on people.Even when you're out in the world, you always try to find help. Some people just can't even take the thought of being alone. Trust me, I know.
I can relate to jacynthia because you have people that you had your whole life and then they turn on you in a minute so thats why i have a lot of friends but have only one true best friend
I can understand what you both are taking about. But we cannot give up on real people being out there. In order to have a friend we need to be a friend. There is always going to be mean people, but we have to pray for those people and make sure that we're not the mean people. Once we begin to believe in ourself then we walk in independence.....still having friends but not making them our lives.
