ladies,
I have come to the realization that we are better than we think. God always have a way of confirming that to us. At the moment that we think that we are not capable of doing atask or it's looks like the mountain is bigger than we think. God steps in the middle of the confusion and doubt and gives us the strength to to overcome. Most times we do more than overcome, we do a slam dunk. When has there been a time in your life recently that God did a slam dunk?

A recent "slamdunk" god made in my life was back in may. My last semester of highschool i tokk four AP level courses that were VERY difficult and demanding. The work load was almost overwhelming, especially considering the fact that i played three sports, was class president, i had a job, volunteered at a community center, and participated in numerous of extracurricular activities. During the month of May AP exams and finals are given out roughly around the same time. I had an AP calculus project due and 3 exams back to back. it was so stressful trying to find time to study and fully prepare myself for these exams that if i did do well on, would put me ahead in college. It got to the point that i was almost ready to just forget about it all and not worry about any of it. I was just that stressed. I hated myself for taking those courses and found myself in tears at night just from the stress. I didnt think i could handle it all. Fortunately i sucked it up. I ended up doing very well on my AP tests and exempting the introductory level courses in college. I graduated a honor grad at the top of my class and managed to pull off As in all four of my AP classes. I was happy. all i had to do now was prepare for college. I took up two jobs this summer with the goal of saving money to purchase a labtop for school. However, one of the companies heard about my highschool involvement and offerred to purchase a brand new labtop for me. THANK GOD!!!
You are absolutely right. I know that GOD is leading my life in the right direction. I haven't had my slam dunk in life yet,but I know when it happens for me, it will be some thing that will also affect other peoples lives, as well as my own. People say they see something powerful inside of me. I hope to find out what big thing I will do with my life. I really want to be a singer and the songs i write come from my own heart. I write about things that happen to teenage girls in their everyday lives. How they feel abuot what's going on in it. I just hope to one day get to have other people hear my songs and have them affect thier lives.
I wanted to thank you young ladies for expressing your thoughts on how you know that you're better than you think. April it was good that you express the scripture that God has not given a spirit of fear, but he has given us power over our lives and evil words spoken over us, and love; which is th love for Him first and secondly to love ourselves and then we can love our neighbors, and a sound mind, which gives us the ability to let God handle our problems and to give them to Him and to not let the cares of this world take our mind.
Taylor, you are BETTER than you think. With faith in God and ourseles there is nothing that we cannot accomplish.
Jasmine, you need to blog one of you songs,I would love to hear one. Keep your dreams alive and do not let anyone steal your dreams.
I used to have to live with people because of problems I will not explain. He really stepped into my life. I know God has a plan for me and all I have to do is believe. He sends me tests and trials to see if I'm able to handle the wonderful things he"s about to do for me.

God does have plans for you and everyone in this world. His plans do not change because of situations. Know that whatever might come you way, Gos is ALWAYS in control.
